Pledge
Pledging to Theta
Tau is a semester long process which guides the potential members through a
series of events, tasks, and information sessions to prepare them for
membership. Some typical pledging activities include small projects, social
event planning, professional development, and community service. In addition,
each pledge must pass a written exam covering information essential to
membership. To pledge the following criteria must be met:

Must be at least 18 years old

May pledge but, cannot be initiated during first
semester of freshman year

Must not be within 6 months of graduation

Must meet minimum GPA requirements (Univ.
requirements of 2.0)

Must be enrolled in an engineering related
curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree
NOTE: It is unlawful to take part in hazing. Theta Tau does not
haze or engage in any other illegal or unethical behavior.
- Attend weekly pledge meetings.
- Learn about the fraternity, its history and operations, its benefits, and
its requirements.
- Work on an assigned pledge project(s) as a team.
- Pass a written test.
- Be unanimously voted into the fraternity.
- Be initiated.
